What do I mean? Well, did you know that your body actually NEEDS carbs, fats, and a good amount of calories in order to effectively decrease body fat? It’s true! What you need are good carbs (fiber), healthy fats (omega fatty acids, monounsaturated), and you can not severely reduce your calorie intake or your metabolism will decrease!

So, with all that said, the hottest technique around these days that many people (including myself) are doing to shed fat like crazy is something called “calorie confusion” (or shifting).

What this amazing technique is based around is:

* First eating ALL the types of nutrients you need without “fad diet restrictions”.
* Second, eating the right type of calories every day.
* Third, eating the right amount of meals every day (4-5 meals instead of 3).
* And lastly, taking everything I just said and switching it around in specific patterns to prevent your metabolism from getting settled into a pattern.

By confusing your metabolism with the one thing the body responds to the most (FOOD!), and then on top of it all, you still get to eat the foods you love, clearly you can see that this type of dieting is not just extremely powerful, but also very easy to stick to as well.

You can have a medium sized breakfast, a small snack at brunch, a small lunch, a fruit an hour later and then in the evening you can have another snack. It’s also important than you don’t eat late at nights as that prevent your food from digesting properly and thus it will most likely be converted to fat and stored.

Proper Exercise

This can be the hardest part of a weight loss program. Most times people are sluggish and can’t be bothered. However, it’s important to look at your long term goals and take things one step at a time. Start out by doing some walking around your community and then stretching afterward. After a week of doing that, you can start jogging a mile every other day and so on. Once you start feeling energize and get fitter, you can try programs such as the P90x Exercise Program to get your body toned and in shape.
